Message
from the Chairman
Welcome to the Auburn Area!
The Auburn Area Chamber of
Commerce’s mission is to
represent businesses united
to promote a strong economy
and a vibrant community.
One tool we provide to do
that is our yearly Business
Directory and Community
Guide you are using right
now. The cities of Auburn,
Algona and Pacific and the
Muckleshoot Indian
Reservation are in the heart
of the Green and White River
valleys—the hub of the
Pacific Northwest products
distribution and
manufacturing area, the
location of major
entertainment venues, and
home to some of the finest
and friendliest people in
the Puget Sound area. In
these pages you will find
the names, phone numbers and
addresses of those
individuals and businesses
that value their community
and realize it is through
their individual and
collective efforts that our
communities are what they
are today, and more
importantly, what our
communities will be for our
children.
In response to our annual
Chamber Ambassador’s contact
with our renewing members, a
second-generation Auburn
businessman explained his
reason for being a Chamber
member:
“[We’ve] been a Chamber
member for 30+ years I
think. Dad originally joined
on behalf of the company so
I really can’t say exactly
what his motivation was but
I can speculate. We always
have been of the opinion
that we should be an asset
to the community as a whole.
That includes furthering the
interests of small business
and being a positive role
model where it comes to
social service efforts and
community events. I don’t
think Dad was and nor am I
at this point looking to
‘gain’ anything from being a
Chamber member. We feel it’s
more of an obligation as
part of the local community
that we belong and
participate. The Chamber
benefits all businesses
locally whether they are
members or not."
The Auburn Area is filled
with like-minded citizens
who daily toil to make our
communities continually
better places to live and
work. You will find their
names listed in the Key
Business Contacts
section. I encourage you to
use this directory as your
first source for finding
whatever you need, from
“Accounting and Tax
Services” to “Youth and
Family Services,” all easily
found in our categorized
Business Directory
section, or alphabetically
in our “Membership Roster.”
You will find a wealth of
information in the many
sections of the Community
Profile: from statistics
that attract potential new
businesses to our area, to
the many events and
facilities that attract new
residents and visitors. In
particular, mark the page
with the names and phone
numbers of our hard working
Chamber staff who will do
all they can to help and
direct you. Collectively
they are one of the best
resources in the Auburn
area, and individually they
are some of the nicest
people you will meet. If
you’re already a Chamber
member, use this directory
to find and support your
fellow members.
Our Chamber provides its
members benefits and
opportunities to develop and
expand professionally and
personally. If you’re not a
member yet, please join us
as we work diligently to
continue to make it the
region’s premier business
organization, and our
communities Puget Sound’s
premier place to work, play
and live. We can use your
help, and we can help you.
Sincerely,
C. Keith Stump
Chairman of the Board
Auburn Area Chamber of
Commerce
